Pendampingan Guru Dalam Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Augmented Reality (AR)

It is important to organize a teacher mentoring program in developing Augmented Reality-based learning media systematically, structured, and sustainably in order to improve teacher competence in the learning process. The purpose of this activity is to improve teacher professionalism in facing learning challenges in the technological era. The teacher mentoring activity in developing Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media was carried out in the Hall of SMP Negeri 3 Kabila. Participants in this activity were teachers from SMP Negeri 3 Kabila and SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Tengah, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. The method of this community service activity was designed with a collaborative, participatory, and direct practice-based approach. This activity was carried out in several stages that were mutually continuous, starting from identifying needs, initial training, technical guidance, mentoring, to evaluating the results of AR media development carried out by each participant. This community service activity succeeded in increasing teacher capacity in designing and developing Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media. Through the stages of training and technical guidance, the teachers showed high enthusiasm and were able to produce learning media products that were relevant to the curriculum and their respective learning contexts. Teachers not only understand the concept of AR theoretically, but are also able to operate supporting applications such as AsemblerEdu to create interesting and educational 3D visual-based media for students and strengthen the learning ecosystem based on technological innovation in educational units.
