Abstract

One of the typical Gorontalo children's games is Tengge-Tengge. In the Tengge-Tengge game, children are expected to learn social aspects that show individual relationships with individuals by playing the hopscotch game. Traditional games are starting to be forgotten, causing traditional sports and games to decline or even be abandoned. For this reason, efforts are being made to preserve the traditional Gorontalo game of tengge-tengge by implementing the game in learning at Qurratu 'Ayun Elementary School, Gorontalo City. The application of this game is carried out not only to preserve traditional game culture but also to increase children's learning motivation in the learning process. The application of the traditional game of tengge-tengge at SD IT Qurratu 'Ayun is that class V students become motivated to learn in science lessons regarding the reproduction of monocot and dicot plants. Students are very enthusiastic about learning to use the traditional game of tengge-tengge because the learning process becomes more interesting and fun
