Through a participatory approach, women are provided with technical training in processing raw materials into various processed products such as pickled skipjack tuna, which are not only delicious and healthy but also meet market tastes. In addition to production skills training, the program also includes knowledge provision on micro-enterprise management, attractive and hygienic product packaging. This activity effectively combines technical assistance in product processing with a local wisdom-based approach, particularly for Pickled Skipjack tuna products, to create added economic value. Through training, the participants, the majority of whom are mothers in Toto Utara Village, not only master packaging and digital marketing techniques but are also empowered to become agents of change in their communities. Product diversification from skipjack tuna into Cakalang Pickles which are packaged in a modern way and marketed through a digital platform. The results of organoleptic tests of the skipjack tuna pickled product on 4 aspects are that the taste aspect has a percentage of 83.3%, the aroma aspect has a percentage of 88.9%, the color aspect has a percentage of 83.3% and the texture aspect has a percentage of 83.3%. This shows that the skipjack tuna pickled product is very much liked by respondents based on the aspects of taste, aroma, color and texture of the product. The success of this program shows that with strong collaboration between academics, communities, and local governments, women's empowerment can be a main pillar in building food security and sustainable village economic independence.
Herinda Mardin Magfirahtul Jannah Meilan Demulawa Hak Cipta (c) 2025 MOPOONUWA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat 2025-11-30 2025-11-30 2 2 215 226 Peningkatan Kapasitas Petani Aren melalui Pelatihan Fermentasi Nira Menjadi Bioetanol Berkadar Tinggi di Desa Langke Gorontalo Utara https://ejurnal.bio.fmipa.ung.ac.id/index.php/mopoonuwa/article/view/33
Palm sap-based bioethanol has the potential to be a renewable energy source while increasing the added value of palm sugar commodities in producing villages, but farmers' technical capacity in managing fermentation is still limited. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of palm sugar farmers in Langke Village, North Gorontalo, in applying palm sap fermentation technology to produce high-quality bioethanol. The method used was community-based participatory training with a one-group pretest–posttest design, involving 25 farmers and palm sugar craftsmen selected purposively. The intervention included the delivery of class materials, demonstrations, and direct practice of standardized fermentation: handling fresh sap, equipment sanitation, yeast preparation and activation, pH and temperature adjustment, monitoring fermentation duration, and process recording. Data were collected through a written test to measure knowledge and a performance observation sheet to assess skills, then analyzed descriptively using the average score and N-gain. The results showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 55 to 82 and skills from 50 to 80 with an N-gain value of 0.60 each (moderate category). These findings indicate that the training was able to shift traditional spontaneous fermentation practices toward more standardized and hygienic procedures, although challenges still existed regarding temperature stability and the use of measuring instruments. Overall, this program was effective in strengthening literacy and skills in palm sap fermentation technology as a first step in developing a high-content palm sap bioethanol center in Langke Village and has the potential to be replicated in other palm sap centers with adjustments to the local context.
Hasanuddin Hak Cipta (c) 2025 MOPOONUWA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat 2025-11-30 2025-11-30 2 2 227 236 Merancang Pembelajaran Berbasis Deep Learning Berbantuan Augmented Reality (AR) dan Artificial Intelligence (AI) https://ejurnal.bio.fmipa.ung.ac.id/index.php/mopoonuwa/article/view/31
This community service activity aims to provide teachers with an understanding of designing learning, especially teaching modules and student worksheets (LKPD), and integrating Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology with a deep learning-based learning approach. The implementation method of this community service activity uses a collaborative participatory approach, where the community service team actively collaborates with teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Tapa in the training process to design deep learning-based learning assisted by AR and AI technology. This activity is designed by adapting to field needs and the readiness of local resources, and focuses on strengthening teacher capacity in designing and implementing innovative learning practically. The training results showed that most teachers experienced an increased understanding of the concept of deep learning and how it can be applied in contextual learning. Through pretest and posttest evaluations conducted at the beginning and end of the activity, there was an increase in the average understanding score of participants from 64.7 to 81.3. Teachers were able to identify deep learning indicators such as meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning in developing lesson plans. Through a series of workshop stages, teachers were able to understand the concept of deep learning, utilize AR and AI technology, and understand how to develop innovative teaching modules in accordance with the Independent Curriculum.
Herinda Mardin Magfirahtul Jannah Nurul Fajryani Usman Nur Mustaqimah Meilan Demulawa Wiwin Kobi Hak Cipta (c) 2025 MOPOONUWA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat 2025-11-30 2025-11-30 2 2 206 214
